City of Castries

See the Castries market and  Derek Walcott Square named after one of St. Lucia’s Nobel laureates.

Visit the old Cathedral. One of the largest churches preserved through Caribbean history.

 

Morne Fortune

We will stop at the Morne Fortune viewing point to see an amazing view of the City.

While there you will also see the Government House, which is one of St Lucia’s most important pieces of historical architecture.

Morne Fortune is significant in St. Lucia’s history.

There you’ll find many old military Barracks and were cannons that were used in the battle for St Lucia between the British and the French.

Morne Fortune means the hill of good luck. the location was named by the French during the war with England to lay claim to St Lucia.

 

Marigot Bay

About 4 miles from the city of Castries we will visit marigot Bay. It’s considered by many as the most beautiful bay in the Caribbean.

Marigot Bay is a lovely sheltered cove sheltered by steep, vegetation- cover hillsides, surrounding a small deep Harbour.

It’s one of St. Lucia’s most scenic locations.

At marigot bay you will find a variety of restaurants, bars and mini hotels.

Marigot Bay was famously featured in the 1967 movie Doctor Dolittle starring Rex Harrison and the large pink snail.

 

Sulphur Springs Mud Bath

The Sulphur Springs Park is one of St Lucia’s most popular tourist attractions. It Features the only drive in volcano in the world.

You will also get to experience the Sulphur Springs Mud Bath which is tons of fun.

Many visitors flock there to cover themselves in mud which makes for very unique photos.

The mud Bath is also considered to be very therapeutic for your skin. You’ll feel rejuvenated after a mud bath. You skin will feel tighter and smoother.

 

Diamond Falls & Botanical Gardens

We’ll then head to the diamond Botanical Gardens.

There you will see a beautiful multi-coloured waterfall.

The rocks there are beautifully coloured by mineral deposits.

At the Botanical Gardens, you get the chance to take a mineral  bath in steaming hot pools of mineral water.

 

Toraille Waterfall

From the scenic main road,  we will then visit a beautiful tropical waterfall that drops 50 feet over the Cliffside and cascades into a wide plunge pool.

There you can take a refreshing bath and let the water from the falls massage your back.

It’s a beautiful experience to bathe under a tropical waterfall, particularly if it’s your first time.
